Writer/Photographer/Explorer

(Kevin, I am not the best at biographies, so please doll it up if need be)
Nagela is originally from Brooklyn, NY, but has lived a colorful life all over the USA and the globe. From a Quaker boarding school in Pennsylvania, college in conservative Connecticut, to van life along the coast of California, hunkering down in Koh Phangan, Thailand, during the pandemic, and now in Mexico City.

Her desire to heal and explore has been the driving force behind all these moves. Nagela felt most free when she completed the Camino Frances in 2021, from SJPDP to Santiago de Compostela. Immediately, she caught the "Camino bug" and soon attempted her second pilgrimage, the Camino Portuguese from Porto, in the Spring of 2022.

Although that journey ended prematurely, she is planning her third Camino for Spring this year. She is still deciding if she will embark on the Ingles, Norte, or Via de la Plata route. She knows that the "Camino gives you what you need," and no matter how she chooses, the experience will be life-altering. Nagela is editing her book about her Camino Frances experience; it is part travelogue and memoir, with daily reflections on her hike and the profound and transformational nature of the sacred pilgrimage.
